Welcome to another exciting season at Barry Goldwater High
School -- and a special welcome to all of our freshmen and new
students.
We hope that your years with our Band will be rewarding,
fun and filled with memories that will last your entire
life.
We are looking forward to working with all of you
throughout this school year.
Primary Objectives
- To develop a life-long appreciation of music as an art
form.
- To enhance the overall educational experience of our
students through their musical study.
- To develop performance groups that bring pride and
recognition to the individual, school and community.
- To provide a suitable background in music education for
those who wish to pursue additional study after high school.
- To foster the qualities of leadership, responsibility,
commitment, goal-oriented thinking and concern for others
that will benefit each student, their organization,
community and society in general.

The Band Program at Barry
Goldwater High School exists to create a deep
understanding of music and its relationship to our
culture, to contribute to the overall education of our
students, and to encourage the development of
initiative, leadership and an appreciation and respect
